'Hurdler', 30sec
SFX: Sports stadium. Hushed whispers of large crowd. Huffing and puffing of
athletes taking their marks. One athlete clear above others.
MVO: He is an Olympic hurdler.
SFX: Crack of starter’s pistol. Roar of crowd, ragged pounding of feet.
MVO: After four seconds he leaps the first hurdle.
SFX: Pause as athletes leap, then - bububububoboom - hit the ground again.
More pounding of feet and roars of crowd.
MVO: At twelve seconds he reaches another.
SFX: More pounding feet, another pause as the athletes leap, then - bububububububbububububoom
- hit the ground. Landings now more spread out. One athlete still in foreground.
MVO: At twenty-three seconds he clears the last.
SFX: Another pause as athletes leap. Landing sounds - bububuubububububububbububbububuoom
- now very spread out. Crowd bursts into loud applause and cheers.
MVO: And one second later, three billion people know it.
SFX: sound of three billion people cheering - ie a cheer that sounds like
a lot more people than the previous cheers.
