'Pole Vaulter', 30sec

SFX: Sports stadium. Hushed whispers of crowd.

MVO: He is an Olympic polevaulter.

SFX: Gong of timer. Roars of crowd.

MVO: At one second he starts his run.

SFX: Thump-thump of athlete’s feet getting faster in foreground. Twang of flexing pole. Crowd cheers.

MVO: At nine seconds he plants his pole.

SFX: Scroitch of pole pressing into sand. Thumping feet stop. Crowd roars.

MVO: At eleven he sets a new world record.

SFX: Boing of pole unflexing. Smack of athlete landing on mat. Crowd bursts into roaring applause.

MVO: And one second later, his forty million countrymen know it.

SFX: Sound of forty million people cheering - ie a cheer that sounds like a lot more people than the previous cheer.
